Prisca is a New York state licensed acupuncturist and board-certified diplomat of Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM. She obtained her M .S. in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. She is trained in multiple styles of acupuncture, from the classics to modern systems, and pulls from them according to her patient’s needs.
As an outdoors enthusiast and former dancer, Prisca understands how important it is to stay active, how vital it is to get back to what you love doing as soon as possible, after getting side-tracked by injury, illness or pain. Acupuncture has helped her bounce back from injuries time and time again, and she wanted to share this wonderful medicine to help others.
In San Francisco, she worked with the medically under-served community at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic. At the California Pacific Regional Rehabilitation Center, she specialized in acupuncture for stroke and trauma recovery. She also apprenticed with renowned fertility acupuncturist Dr. Lifang Liang, OMD, Ph.D., L.Ac., whose acupuncture techniques and secret herbal formulas helped hundreds of people start families. Her passion for traveling and the healing arts led her to study with TCM physicians in municipal hospitals affiliated with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China, and with traditional Mayan healers in Peten, Guatemala through the organization Healer2Healer.
In early 2014, she settled in New York City, and, shortly after, established Tranquility Base Acupuncture, a place where her patients find more than just physical recovery – they find tranquility.
