CranioSacral Therapist and Visceral Manipulation in New York City

I am a New York State licensed and Board Certified massage therapist. A practitioner for 22 years, I specialize in CranioSacral Therapy/SomatoEmotional Release, Visceral Mobilization and Myofascial Release. I also have training in Shiatsu, Reiki and Fully Body Presence: Grounding and Healthy Boundaries. All of this work is a wonderful way to connect with our sense of how we feel in our body while experiencing relief from pain and stress.

As a former dancer and choreographer I’ve always felt the connection to what my own body has to tell me about my health and well-being. This led me to be interested in how I could help others gain this self-awareness. In 1995 I attended an open house at the Swedish Institute in New York City and realized that I needed to leave my job in the corporate world to pursue a career in bodywork.

Soon after I completed my massage training I discovered CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release when I took a class through the Upledger Institute. For the first time I felt that I’d found the approach that allowed me to have a deeper connection with each person so that I could better assist them.

I work with many types of clients from all walks of life, but they all have one thing in common: wanting to feel well. Often, people see me because of chronic ailments, such as migraines, TMJ or chronic neck/back pain that have not been relieved through allopathic   medicine. Others find that the non-invasive approach of CST and Visceral Mobilization offers them a way to gently and deeply relieve pain and stress. My role is to be the facilitator in each person’s process, and to meet you where you are in that process in every session.

It is a privilege and a joy to be able to help people feel and be well.
